The YouTube personality has been recognized as the creator of a type of YouTube videos that revolve around costly stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson uploaded videos to YouTube when he was 13, and he used the username "MrBeast6000". The channel started out posting Let's Plays and "videos that estimate how rich other YouTubers" content. The channel went viral in the year 2017 following his "counting to 100,000" video racked up millions of views in just a couple of days. He has been getting more and more popular ever since, with most of his videos earning thousands of views.Over time the style of his content expanded to include challenge and donation videos that reward thousands of dollars, videos involving arduous challenges or tasks as well as original video vlogs. Donaldson hired many of his childhood pals as helpers to run his expanding channel. MrBeast was the main YouTube channel for Donaldson which had 60 members.
